Pastured chicken and eggs

Just like our cows, our chickens spend their lives roaming diverse pastures, although they do chicken things, not cow things. Can you imagine a chicken doing cow things? Weird. Our layers and broilers are both protected from predators by electric netting. They are moved around the pastures as well in a leader follow system. That just means the chickens follow behind the cows in our rotation. Plenty of sunshine, bugs, and cow paddies to spread out. This helps our pastures by keeping down on pests, spreading fertilizer while adding their own, and disturbing the seed bed to keep the plant species diverse.

In addition to what the birds collect on thrir own, we feed soy-free, certified organic, non-GMO verified feed that is milled here in the Pacific North West. Our choice of feed is mainly comprised of raw, cracked grains with additional vitamins, minerals, and probiotics. Quite often we soak and/or ferment the feed to increase digestibility and nutrient content.

All of this translates to the best eggs and meat you can get!

Our pastured eggs are currently $6 per dozen.

Whole chickens are available on a monthly, pre-order schedule and are priced at $5.50 per pound. Unlike the chicken you buy at the grocery store, we don't inject salt water to increase the weight of the bird. We have a limited number of birds in each batch, but there is no limit to the number of birds you can reserve.
